As a former member of the health care industry I
was amazed at how little patients knew about their
own health insurance. Some patients thought they
had great health insurance that paid for everything,
but didn’t, and some thought their health insurance
was like car insurance, if they used it, they would
be penalized. So, when patients came to my clinic I
tried to explain their health insurance benefits to
avoid confusion, but most clinics skip the explanations,
hence, it would benefit you to do your own research,
and ask lots of questions.
